Yes! We are a registered business both provincially and federally.
We are fully insured both as a business and as individuals within that business. Coverage includes both Professional and General Liability for any incidents or accidents that occur - regardless of fault - while we are providing services either in our home or at those of our clients, at the dog park, in an Uber, or just walking up the street! Operational incidents, bodily injury, automotive (non-owned & hired), and property damage are all covered under these terms.
We also have a Veterinary Fees expanded clause which allows for emergency vet trips in the (hopefully rare) event one of our client needs medical help while in our care and are not insured and/or we are unable to get ahold of their parents to coordinate payment.
Currently we only accept same-day booking requests for dog walking, drop in visits, and owner-home day care services provided our schedules allow us to do so and there are no safety concerns to either us or the pet(s).
Boarding and day care services provided out of our home require a meet and greet ahead of us even accepting a deposit. Pets with reactive behaviors also require a meeting ahead of time, regardles of where the services are provided. Same-day requests simply don't have enough lead time to meet everyone's needs safely.
